In 1834, as the city began to spread west the Denison family decided to clear the dense forest covering their property and begin cultivating the land. The Neighborhood: In the past number of years the neighborhood has seen a major revitalization. Dufferin Grove Park is one of the greatest parks in our city. It has an open fire pit, outdoor pizza oven, and organic market on Thursdays year round, and the list goes on. Dufferin Grove Park is the community centre without walls or a ceiling.
